About
I love vision and helping those learn about integrating vision into neurological sessions. I have a private practice and side consulting business.
Bio
I am an occupational therapist with over 24 years experience specializing in neurological rehab. After becoming frustrated with a traditional medical model, I went back to school for my clinical doctorate in vision remediation and work closely with optometry to help those with visual deficits, headaches, memory issues and cognitive issues after suffering a neurological event, like a concussion. Being a mom of 2 neurodivergent sons, we also work with teens who have aged out but still are navigating the role of adulting, be it transitioning to high school, college, or the work force when struggling with executive functioning issues. We incorporate holistic care, interoception and polyvagal theory into every session to improve brain, body, function and life! I also am the co-owner of NeurOT Consulting where we help other providers learn how to integrate a whole person approach into neurological session.
My Capstone Project
As part of an occupational therapy doctoral program in the United States, students spend around 500 hours working on a capstone experience, part of which is a project.
