Corrina Holcomb
Bio
My name is Corrina Holcomb, and I will be graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a doctorate in OT this May, 2026! I have a special interest in hand therapy, and after graduation, I plan to enter this field in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota.
This spring, I have had the exciting opportunity to partner with OT Potential for my capstone project. My project aims to translate current research evidence into clinical practice guidelines for conditions of the upper extremity (including the shoulder, arm, wrist, and hand). In collaboration with OT professionals, I have been creating clinical decision support guides for thumb arthritis and cubital tunnel syndrome. Each of these guides provides OTs with evidence-based options to inform their assessments and interventions for these conditions. I have also been creating patient education handouts to supplement these guides, including a joint protection handout and ulnar nerve glide handout. Public-facing versions of these guides will also be posted within the upcoming weeks. It has been such a rewarding experience to make hand therapy research more accessible to clinicians and those seeking services!
