What It Measures

The CAPE and PAC are companion measures. The PAC is considered to be an extension of the CAPE, but can be used independently. Both tools can be done as self-report or interviewer assisted. The CAPE looks at different activities types (recreational, physical, social, skill-based, and self improvement), diversity (number of activities participated in), intensity (frequency of participation), and enjoyment of those activities. The PAC looks more at children's preferences for participation. For ages 6-21.
