Briana Bonner is an occupational therapist, educator, and global practitioner passionate about expanding access to occupational therapy through creativity, collaboration, and cultural humility. She is the founder of Dr. Bri The OT, LLC, where she develops innovative educational programs and resources that make OT engaging and accessible for families, students, and professionals.
Her international work spans the USA, Botswana, Kenya, Ghana, and beyond, where she has built sustainable programs, trained local professionals, and led global outreach initiatives that promote inclusion and community health. As co-founder of the Network for Inclusion and Advocacy (NIA), Dr. Bonner focuses on advancing equitable and community-driven health systems across countries.
In recognition of her leadership and impact, she received the 2025 AOTA International Service Award. She also was recognized in the state of Arizaona as the 2025 Outstanding OT Award. Dr. Bonner also currently serves on AOTA’s Volunteer Leadership Development Committee. She is dedicated to helping occupational therapy thrive, locally and globally, through connection, compassion, and action.
Outside of her work, Dr. Bri finds joy in music, dance, and spreading light through community engagement and creative expression.
