Dr. Cortni Krusemark graduated from Creighton University in 2004 with her OTD degree. She practiced in neurorehabilitation and acute trauma care for 5 years before transitioning to academia as an Assistant Professor and Director of Rehabilitation at a rural critical access hospital on a Native American Reservation in Northeast Nebraska. In 2019, Dr. Krusemark served as the founding Program Director for an OTD program in Iowa before transitioning to Augustana University in 2025 as the Director of Curriculum and an Associate Professor. In addition to her expertise in management and interprofessional rural health, she has clinical experience in orthopedics.
Dr. Krusemark became an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) Credentialed Leader in Academia in 2020. She has served in a variety of professional roles, including Nebraska Occupational Therapy Association lobbyist (2005-08), Iowa Occupational Therapy Association (IOTA) Northwest District Chair (2019-2025), AOTA DEI Task Force (2020-21), and the IOTA Political Advocacy Committee (2022-2025). She has many professional presentations and publications in her areas of expertise.
