Ella Vanderpool

My name is Ella Vanderpool, and I am a newly licensed and certified OTD, OTR/L! I have accepted my first OT role working in the inpatient rehab setting in Aurora, CO. During my time as an EL-OTD student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I had the honor of partnering with OT Potential for my capstone project. My project sought to translate the evidence-based AJOT stroke best-practice guidelines into an accessible "menu" of information for OTPs working in stroke rehabilitation. The clinical decision support pages for various stroke phases (acute, subacute, and chronic) each provide a bank of relevant assessments, interventions, goals, and education resources that are based in research. For the public, I also served as the lead author on this treatment guide: Occupational Therapy and Stroke Rehab.
