Dr. Sabina Khan is a women’s health and health equity researcher, author, educator, and health tech strategist based in Miami, Florida.
With over a decade of clinical and academic experience, Dr. Khan’s work spans the intersections of occupational therapy, women’s health, and digital innovation. Her research and teaching center on trauma-informed care, maternal health, and health technology as a pathway to equitable and personalized care delivery. She has become a leading voice in advancing the role of occupational therapy within emerging and interdisciplinary practice areas.
Dr. Khan is the author of Occupational Therapy and Women’s Health and Trauma-Informed Occupational Therapy in Women’s Health, two landmark texts that have shaped the national conversation on gender-responsive and evidence-based practice. She is also the founder of two health technology startups currently in stealth mode, both focused on leveraging artificial intelligence to improve clinical decision-making and holistic wellness outcomes.
Dr. Khan holds a PhD, Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD), and Master of Science (MS), and is currently completing her Doctor of Education (EdD) with a specialization in Executive Leadership at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. She is also pursuing her Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business. Dr. Khan presents nationally and internationally on women’s health, leadership, and digital health equity, and is dedicated to bridging healthcare, technology, and education to create systems that empower both clinicians and patients.
