QuickDASH
What It Measures
The QuickDASH asks eleven questions about how much trouble a person is having with their arm, shoulder, or hand. It covers the whole upper limb as one unit, so the same questionnaire works whether the problem is at the shoulder or the thumb, and whether there is one problem or several.
Items cover physical function — opening a jar, doing household chores, carrying a bag, washing your back — along with pain, tingling, and how much the arm has interfered with sleep, social life, and usual activities over the past week. Each is rated 1 to 5. The completed items are averaged, 1 is subtracted, and the result multiplied by 25, giving a score from 0 to 100 where higher means more disability.
