To get you going, here is the information I found—along with corresponding links.

Here are the specific occupational therapy continuing education requirements for coursework in West Virginia:

These were copied from the West Virginia Administrative Code, effective July 1, 2010.

Legislative Rule §13-4 Continuing Education and Competence

All licensees are required to complete continuing education and competency activities as part of license renewal requirements.

A licensee who obtains a license during the first twelve months of any 24 month reporting period shall complete 12 contact hours before the end of the current reporting period.  Subsequent renewals require a minimum of 24 contact hours during the 2 year period preceding the license renewal date.

It is the responsibility of the licensee to assure that the selected courses meet his or her individual needs to maintain knowledge of occupational therapy theory and practice.  The Board does not require pre-approval of specific courses or providers.  Core job specific requirements of your chosen industry of occupational therapy DO NOT count toward continuing competency  requirements for licensure renewal. Examples include:  CPR, first aid training, documentation courses, ethics courses, and training in coding, billing or payment systems.

Licensees should refer to Legislative Rule §13-4 Continuing Education and Competency Requirements for further information.

Step 3: Earn your CEU hours.
