Bio
Bobbie received her OTD from Washington University in St. Louis in 2010 where her focus was executive function and participation in IADLS in a vulnerable population. Her career experiences have involved settings such as SNF, public schools, residential schools, ABA, outpatient pediatrics, acute psychiatry, early intervention, and telehealth.
Bobbie began adjunct teaching in 2020 at Elmhurst University and now teaches full time at Concordia University Wisconsin in the program’s pediatric clinic course as well as behavioral health. Bobbie has regularly contributed to pathways.org, a non-for-profit informational website sharing content on healthy child development, as a content expert since 2014. Bobbie has given numerous presentations to community and university stakeholders regarding child development and the benefits of play and occupational therapy. She has presented at AOTA as well as to the Fisher-Price toy company regarding strategies to build awareness of OTs role in mental health and executive function.
Bobbie’s current interests include increasing awareness of OT, advocating for OTs role in mental and behavioral health intervention, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to inspire the next generation of health professionals to provide effective, culturally relevant, client-centered services.
