Strowmatt Rehab Services provides driver evaluations and driver training for individuals with medical conditions that may affect their ability to drive. I began my career as an OT at TIRR in Houston and went into private practice in 1993.  Our team has accessible cars and vans for use during our services.  We offer at-home services when clients need to be seen in various areas of the state.  We currently serve clients in Amarillo, the Rio Grande Valley, Austin, Dallas/Ft. Worth, the Coastal Bend, and all of East Texas.   We work closely with many physicians as well as vehicle modifiers and local regional DPS offices to help our clients achieve the independence they are striving for.  Strowmatt Rehab is an approved vendor for the Texas Workforce Commission as well as all of the Independent Living Centers in Texas.  We offer low-tech driving options as well as the highest technology available for driving a modified vehicle.   Most of our staff are Occupational Therapists or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.  We also have driving instructors to teach individuals with congenital medical conditions to drive with all of our service staff certified as TDLR instructors and Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialists (CDRS).
