Erin Epley
About
I am an assistant professor of occupational therapy and work part time as an OTR/L at a pediatric clinic to maintain my clinical skills.
Bio
I found OT in midlife and became so enamored that I changed careers (from teaching). I have practiced in SNF, schools, inpatient rehab, and outpatient pediatrics. A few of my favorite things about our profession are the holistic view we take of our clients as well as the therapeutic rapport we so deeply value and work so hard to cultivate. I have a special interest in habits and how they relate to health promotion and plan to continue this work. In my pediatric practice, I am seeking to specialize in ADHD and emotional regulation due to the overwhelming needs of today's children. In my present role as assistant professor, I am thrilled to merge my love for teaching with my love for all things OT!
My Capstone Project
As part of an occupational therapy doctoral program in the United States, students spend around 500 hours working on a capstone experience, part of which is a project.
