Bio

Yolanda graduated from the Durham Tech OTA program in Durham, NC in 2016. She has experience in skilled nursing and acute care primarily on the neuro and ortho units. She transitioned to working as a trainer at a non-profit paralysis recovery center called NextStep Raleigh that focused on providing activity based training to neuro populations, primarily SCI and stroke. She eventually became the Site Manager and Training Supervisor.

She transitioned to the non-clinical space in 2023 with her current role as the Training and Operations Coordinator for Progressive GaitWays and the Training Coordinator for Theratogs. Yolanda has also spend 10+ years teaching group fitness classes, coaching small group strength training and mobility classes and has special interest in strength training for older adults and fall recovery. In her spare time she enjoys art journaling/mixed media, latin dancing and spending time on her paddle board.
