You know that sinking feeling you get before walking into a patient room, when you suddenly think:
“Wait.. what exactly am I going to do with this patient?”
Creating a treatment plan entails a complex synthesis of the patient’s needs, the available evidence, and your expertise. It’s no wonder it can be hard to pull all this information together on the spot.
So, it’s easy to see why therapists are starting to utilize AI tools as a brainstorming assist for treatment planning.
But, this also raises SO MANY questions. Which tools should I trust? What are the limitations? What are the ethical considerations?
In this webinar, we are talking with a practicing PT, Cody Lee, about the benefits he has found from using AI as a treatment planning companion. And, practical ways you can get started doing the same, so you can begin riding this wave that is going to transform healthcare.

Speakers
Cody Lee, PT, DPT
Cody’s journey from rehab tech to access specialist to clinical physical therapist gave him a unique lens on the patient journey. Working in multiple roles within the same healthcare system showed him critical blind spots in how care is delivered and revealed to him that clinical excellence alone isn’t enough.
Cody is passionate about bridging the gap between excellent hands-on care and the systems that determine patient outcomes. His goal is to help clinicians understand how integrating clinical expertise with healthcare economics and policy awareness can create better results for their patients and their practices.
As the Co-Chair of the APTA Alabama Membership Committee and a practicing clinician who regularly treats patients with chronic pain, Cody balances clinical excellence with systems improvement daily. His approach combines evidence-based interventions with practical insights into how healthcare actually works, not just how it should work.
Sarah Lyon, OTR/L
Sarah’s passion is helping fellow OT practitioners translate evidence into daily practice. Sarah earned her BA in religion from St. Olaf College, then earned her master’s degree in occupational therapy from New York University in 2011.
Since then, she’s worked in numerous facilities, including a critical access hospital, an acute trauma hospital, and a state inpatient psychiatric hospital. Sarah is the founder/owner of OT Potential. Read more about OT Potential here.
Alan Linic
Alan Linic is an LA-based writer and performer. He is an alumnus of the Second City resident stages in Chicago, and earned an Emmy nomination while writing for Saturday Night Live. He’s got a dog and some really good hot sauce recipes.
